1. China will be the largest shareholder in the newly floated Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) with a 30.85 per cent stake followed by India and Russia. Based on the AIIB members' GDP weight in the world economy, China will become the bank's largest shareholder, followed by India and Russia.

नए स्‍थापित होने वाले एशिया इंफ्रास्‍ट्रक्‍चर इन्‍वेस्‍टमेंट बैंक (एआईआईबी) में सबसे ज्‍यादा 30.85 फीसदी हिस्‍सेदारी के साथ चीन सबसे बड़ा शेयरधारक होगा। चीन के बाद भारत और रूस का नंबर आएगा। एआईआईबी सदस्‍यों की वैश्विक अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था में उनकी जीडीपी हिस्‍सेदारी के आधार पर बैंक में चीन सबसे बड़ा शेयरधारक बन जाएगा। इसके बाद भारत और रूस सबसे बड़े शेयरधारक बनेंगे।

2. Now India is on 6th position in terms of scientific publications. Department of Science and Technology said that India elevated from 10th to 6th position in terms of publishing scientific research papers in different journals.

वैज्ञानिक प्रकाशन के मामले में भारत का अब 6ठा स्‍थान है। विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी विभाग ने बताया कि विभिन्‍न पत्रिकाओं में वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान के शोध पत्र प्रकाशन में भारत का स्‍थान 10वें से 6ठा हो गया है। 

3. Indian-origin US filmmaker Prashant Bhargava, who directed critically acclaimed movie “Patang”, has died of a heart attack. He was 42.

भारतीय मूल के अमेरिकी फिल्मकार प्रशांत भार्गव का दिल दौरा पड़ने से निधन हो गया। वह 42 वर्ष के थे। उन्होंने समीक्षकों द्वारा प्रशंसित फिल्म ‘पतंग’ का निर्देशन किया था।

4. US President Barack Obama has named an Indian-American professor from Yale University as a member of the prestigious National Council on Humanities. The nomination of Akhil Amar, Sterling Professor of Law and Political Science at the university since 2008, was announced by Obama along with other key administration positions.

अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा ने येल विश्वविद्यालय के भारतीय मूल के अमेरिकी प्रोफेसर को प्रतिष्ठित राष्ट्रीय मानविकी परिषद (नेशनल काउंसिल ऑन ह्यूमेनिटीज) के सदस्य के रूप में नामित किया है। विश्वविद्यालय में वर्ष 2008 से विधि एवं राजनीति विज्ञान के प्रोफेसर अखिल अमर के नामांकन की घोषणा ओबामा ने अन्य महत्वपूर्ण प्रशासनिक पदों के साथ की।

5. Indian IT major Wipro has been felicitated by Microsoft with 'Supplier of the Year award' for demonstrating excellence across multiple disciplines. Wipro demonstrated excellence at Microsoft across multiple disciplines including Process Transformation, Product Quality Improvement, and Cost Optimisation Efficiency Improvement and Automation.

माइक्रोसॉफ्ट ने भारत की सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्र की प्रमुख कंपनी विप्रो को विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्टता के लिए ‘वर्ष के सर्वश्रेष्ठ आपूर्तिकर्ता’ पुरस्कार के सम्मानित किया। विप्रो ने माइक्रोसॉफ्ट के उत्पाद गुणवत्ता सुधार, अनुकूल लागत, दक्षता में सुधार तथा स्वचालन जैसे पैमानों पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन किया। 

6. South Korean President Park Geun-hye named incumbent Justice Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn as the new prime minister following the resignation of the former premier over an alleged bribery scandal. The 58-year-old justice minister was nominated as the premier 25 days after former prime minister Lee Wan-koo resigned.

दक्षिण कोरिया की राष्ट्रपति पार्क जियुन-हये ने कथित तौर पर रिश्वत घोटाले के कारण पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री के इस्तीफा देने के बाद अवलंबी न्याय मंत्री ह्वांग क्यो-अहन को देश के नए प्रधानमंत्री के तौर पर नामित किया है। पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री ली के इस्तीफा देने के 25 दिन बाद ह्वांग (58) को प्रधानमंत्री नामित किया गया है।

सर्वोच्च विश्व वरीयता प्राप्त नॉर्दर्न आयरलैंड के स्टार गोल्फ खिलाड़ी रोरी मैक्लेरॉय को यूरोपियन गोल्फ टूर-2014 के लिए वर्ष का सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी और प्लेयर्स प्लेयर ऑफ द ईयर चुना गया। मैक्लेरॉय ने पिछले 12 महीने में सात खिताबी जीत हासिल की हैं, जिसमें ओपन और अमेरिकी पीजीए टूर पर खिताबी जीत के अलावा दो विश्व गोल्फ चैम्पियनशिप शामिल हैं। 

8. The UK-based payment processing giant Worldpay has partnered with IndusInd Bank to offer acquiring services in India. The association will assist both the companies in processing customers' payments and marks the first step for Worldpay in entering the Indian market - a result of the growth in eCommerce across the country. 

ब्रिटेन की पेमेंट बिजनेस से जुड़ी प्रमुख कंपनी वर्ल्डपे ने भारत में अधिग्रहण सेवाओं की पेशकश के लिए इंडसइंड बैंक के साथ भागीदारी समझौता किया है। इस गठजोड़ से दोनों कंपनियों को ग्राहकों के भुगतानों के बेहतर तरीके से निपटान में मदद मिलेगी। यह वर्ल्डपे का भारतीय बाजार में पहला कदम होगा। यह देश भर में ई-वाणिज्य कारोबार में हो रही तीव्र वृद्धि का नतीजा है।

9. State Bank of India, country's largest commercial bank, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with e-commerce player Amazon to develop payment and e-commerce solutions for customers and small businesses. The bank is working on ways to enrich customers' payment experience and opening up the windows of e-commerce to its SME customers through this tie-up.

देश के सबसे बड़े वाणिज्यिक बैंक भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (एस.बी.आई.) ने ऑनलाइन भुगतान और ई-कॉमर्स के बढ़ते कारोबार के मद्देनजर अपने ग्राहकों को बेहतर सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराने के उद्देश्य से ऑनलाइन मार्केट प्लेस अमेजॉन के साथ करार किया है। इस करार के तहत बैंक और अमेजॉन, ग्राहकों तथा छोटे कारोबारियों के लिए विश्वसनीय, बाधारहित भुगतान और ई-सॉल्युशंस उपलब्ध कराने का बेहतर प्रयास करेंगे। 

10. With an eye on booming e-commerce, the State Bank of India tied-up with two of the biggest online retail and payment solution companies, Snapdeal and PayPal respectively. The partnership with PayPal will not only help in international trade but also facilitate overseas funding for the government ‘Clean Ganga’ and ‘Swachh Bharat’ programmes. The agreement with Snapdeal will allow State Bank of India (SBI) to roll out a capital assistance programme for sellers using the online retailer’s platform. If their products are on Snapdeal, manufacturers will get a collateral-free loan of Rs. 1 crore; traders will get Rs. 25 lakh. Women entrepreneurs will also get a concession of 0.25 per cent on interest rates for the loans.

भारत में तेजी से फल-फूल रहे ई-कॉमर्स क्षेत्र का लाभ उठाने के लिए भारतीय स्टेट बैंक ने ऑनलाइन रिटेल और भुगतान समाधान के क्षेत्र में दो सबसे बड़ी कंपनियों स्नैपडील और पेपाल के साथ करार किया है। सीमा-पार व्यापार के लिए पेपाल के साथ भागीदारी के जरिये एसबीआई केंद्र सरकार की 'क्लीन गंगा' और 'स्वच्छ भारत' अभियान के योगदान के साथ-साथ सरकार की विभिन्न ई-शासन परियोजनाओं को वैश्विक रूप से वित्त पोषण को सुगम बनाने पर भी ध्यान दे रहा है। वहीं स्नैपडील के साथ हुए समझौते के तहत बैंक स्नैपडील प्लेटफॉर्म का इस्तेमाल कर रहे विक्रेताओं के लिए कैपिटल एसिस्ट प्रोग्राम पेश करेगा। बैंक, निर्माताओं को 1 करोड़ रुपये और स्नैपडील पर उत्पाद बेचने वाले व्यापारियों को 25 लाख रुपये तक का कॉलेटरल-मुक्त (बगैर गिरवी) ऋण देगा। महिला उद्यमियों को भी ऋण के लिए ब्याज दरों पर 0.25 प्रतिशत की छूट मिल जाएगी।
