Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is an Indian historical drama show airing on Colors TV.The serial is created and written by author and screenwriter Ashok Banker.

The show is based on the life of Indian Emperor of Maurya Dynasty Ashoka The historical serial is produced by Contiloe Entertainment, and directed by Prasad Gavandi. The serial started on 2 February 2015.

It completed 100 episodes on 19 June 2015.

The story starts with Chanakya; who recently had a dream in which Chandragupta Maurya (in the form of a lion) appeared and foretold him about the danger approaching the Mauryan Empire. Mean-while; Bindusara is ruling the vast Mauryan Empire.The story later-on focuses on young Ashoka(Bindusar and Dharma's son) getting guidance from Chanakya in tough circumstances.

While on the other hand; a game of conquering the entire empire is being played by Helena (who wants to throw her step-son Bindusara from the throne of Magadh and wants to place her own son Justin on the throne) and the Empresses of Bindusara-Charumitra and Noor (who want their respective sons to take over the throne after Emperor Bindusara).

Also Charumitra is an expert in doing black magic while Dharma helds expertise in the field of medicine. Noor has an extramartial affair with Justin. Sushim(Bindusar and Charumitra's son) has high enemity with Ashok while Siyamak(Bindusar and Noor's son) has a unique bond of brotherhood with Ashoka.

Mean while Chanakya along with Radhagupt and his other disciples are busy in protecting the throne of Magadha from the evil and corrupt practices done by Helena and other enemies of Magadha.
