1. Sepp Blatter was re-elected President of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) for a fifth term. He defeated the prince of Jordan, Ali Bin Al- Hussein. 79-year-old Sepp Blatter is a Swiss citizen. He has been four times President of FIFA since 1988.

सैप ब्लैटर इंटरनेशनल फेडरेशन ऑफ एसोसिएशन फुटबॉल (फीफा) के प्रेसिडेंट पुनः निर्वाचित हुए। वे पांचवी बार इसके प्रमुख बने हैं। उन्होंने जॉर्डन के प्रिंस अली बिन अल-हुसैन को हराया। 79 साल के सैप ब्लैटर स्विस नागरिक हैं। वे 1998 से अब तक 4 बार फीफा प्रेसिडेंट रहे हैं। 

2. The Indian economy grew at 7.3% in 2014-15 due to improvement in the performance of both services as well as manufacturing sectors. However, the growth in 2014-15 was lower than the advance estimates of 7.4%. According to the data released by Central Statistics Office (CSO) the economic growth was 6.9% in 2013-14 as per the new series of national accounts with base year of 2011-12. 

विनिर्माण और सेवा क्षेत्र की गतिविधियों में सुधार आने से 2014-15 में भारतीय अर्थव्यवस्था की वृद्धि दर 7.3 प्रतिशत रही। केन्द्रीय सांख्यिकी संगठन (सीएसओ) द्वारा जारी आंकड़ों के अनुसार इससे पहले अग्रिम आंकड़ों में वर्ष 2014-15 के दौरान 7.4 प्रतिशत वृद्धि रहने का अनुमान व्यक्त किया गया था। इससे पिछले वर्ष अर्थव्यवस्था में 6.9 प्रतिशत वृद्धि दर्ज की गई थी। ये आंकड़े सीएसओ की नई श्रृंखला के अनुसार हैं जिसका आधार वर्ष 2011-12 है।

3. Mauritius President Kailash Purryag has resigned from office. Purryag had signed an agreement with Mauritius Prime Minister Anerood Jugnauth to step down as Head of State in January 2015 but did ask for some five months to implement the decision. Fulfilling his promise Purryag sent his letter of resignation to the Speaker of the National Assembly of Mauritius. Purryag was appointed President in 2012. His move paves the way for the country to have first female Head of State, well known scientist and researcher Ameenah Gurib-Fakim as she was nominated for this post by Jugnauth's party in December 2014.

मॉरिशस के राष्ट्रपति राजकेश्वर पुर्याग ने अपने पद से इस्तीफा दे दिया। उन्होंने प्रधानमंत्री अनिरूद्ध जगन्नाथ के साथ जनवरी 2015 में एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किया था जिसमें उन्होंने मई में पद से इस्तीफा देने पर सहमति जताई थी। अपने वादे पर अमल करते हुए उन्होंने नेशनल असेंबली के स्पीकर को अपना इस्तीफा सौंप दिया। वह जुलाई 2012 से इस पद पर थे। जगन्नाथ की पार्टी ने दिसंबर 2014 में राष्ट्रपति के पद के लिए शोधकर्ता एवं वैज्ञानिक अमीना गरीब फकीम को नामांकित किया था। अगर उनके नाम की पुष्टि हो जाती है तो गरीब फकीम देश की पहली महिला राष्ट्रपति बन जाएंगी।

The Legislature of British Columbia, Canada has honoured the 42-year-old for his rare achievements to prepare the students from India's underprivileged sections to take admission in higher institutions.

5. Akinwumi Adesina, who served as Nigeria’s agriculture minister has been elected as the new President of the African Development Bank (AfDB). Adesina came through six rounds of voting to land the role, defeating seven rivals from across the continent after claiming roughly 60% of the votes cast by the bank’s board of governors. He will take over from the current president, Donald Kaberuka of Rwanda, to become the 50 years old organisation’s eighth leader since its foundation in 1964.

नाइजीरिया के कृषि मंत्री अकिंवुमी अदेसिना अफ्रीकी विकास बैंक (एएफडीबी) के नये अध्यक्ष चुने गये। अदेसिना ने छह चरणों की वोटिंग के बाद महाद्वीप के सात प्रतिस्पर्धियों को पराजित किया। उन्हें आइवरी कोस्ट में संपन्न इस चुनाव में केंद्रीय बैंकों के गवर्नरों का करीब 60% वोट प्राप्त हुआ। वह वर्तमान राष्ट्रपति, रवांडा के डोनाल्ड काबेरुका का स्थान लेंगे और वह इस 50 वर्ष पुराने संस्थान के आठवें राष्ट्रपति बनेंगे।

7. The United States has removed Cuba from its list of countries sponsors of terrorism. It is a historical decision taken by US. The move eliminates a key obstacle to restoring diplomatic ties between the two countries and other bans against the communist country.

9. More than 100 US cities will organise a Yogathon on the first International Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21. In the ambitious 100+ cities drive, 15 cities in New Jersey-New York area, seven cities in California, six cities in Texas and three cities in Ohio have already finalised the details of the Yogathon.

10. American actor and comedian Reynaldo Rey died of heart attack. Rey was 75. Among his most popular works are the movies, "Friday," "White Men Can't Jump" and "Harlem Nights."

अमेरिकी अभिनेता और हास्य अभिनेता रेनाल्डो रे का निधन हो गया। वे 75 वर्ष के थे। उनका निधन दिल का दौरा पड़ने के कारण हुआ। रेनाल्ड की प्रसिद्ध फिल्में है ‘‘व्हाइट मेन कांट जंप’’, ‘‘हार्लेम नाइट्स” और ‘‘फ्राइडे”।
