1. Despite a drop in investment commitments of last year, India has figured in top five emerging economies for highest investment commitments in private sector, infrastructure sectors- energy, transport and water, according to a World Bank report. The top five countries with the highest investment commitments in 2014 are Brazil, Turkey, Peru, Colombia and India. These five countries together attracted $78 billion, representing 73 percent of the investment commitments in the developing world in 2014.

विश्व बैंक की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत पिछले साल निवेश प्रतिबद्धता में गिरावट के बावजूद निजी क्षेत्र एवं बुनियादी ढांचा- उर्जा, परिवहन और जल में उच्चतम निवेश प्रतिबद्धताओं के संबंध में पांच शीर्ष उभरती अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में शामिल है। 2014 में सबसे अधिक निवेश प्रतिबद्धताओं वाले शीर्ष पांच देश ब्राजील, तुर्की, पेरू, कोलंबिया और भारत हैं। इन पांच देशों ने कुल मिलाकर 78 अरब डॉलर आकर्षित किए जो 2014 में विकासशील विश्व में निवेश प्रतिबद्धताओं का 73 प्रतिशत है।

2. Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh and the Jind and Karnal districts of Haryana have also been included in National Capital Region (NCR). Besides Delhi the number of districts in NCR has now become 22. It is not only the largest area of India but also of Southeast Asia in terms of area and population.

3. ICICI Bank announced the appointment of M.K. Sharma, former vice-chairman of Hindustan Unilever as non-executive chairman for a period of five years. He will replace K.V. Kamath. Sharma is independent director of many major companies and was also on the board of ICICI Bank for eight years from 2003 to 2011.

आईसीआईसीआई बैंक ने हिंदुस्तान यूनिलीवर लि. के पूर्व उपाध्यक्ष एम.के. शर्मा को पांच साल के लिए बैंक का गैर कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष नियुक्त करने की घोषणा की। शर्मा, के. वी. कामत की जगह लेंगे। शर्मा कई अग्रणी कंपनियों में स्वतंत्र निदेशक हैं और वह 2003 से 2011 के बीच आठ साल तक आईसीआईसीआई बैंक के बोर्ड में भी रहे हैं।

4. The Indian Army inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with state-owned Punjab National Bank for defence salary package that will also give an extended benefit on personal accidental insurance coverage. The MoU is tailor-made to suit the requirements of serving soldiers, pensioners and families. A number of additional facilities have been incorporated in the revised MoU. Army had earlier signed a MoU with Punjab National Bank (PNB) in 2011 with a validity of three years. The current agreement has some improved features compared to the previous MoU as the Personal Accidental Insurance (PAI) cover has been extended to Rs. 2 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh from Rs.50,000 and Rs. 2 lakh, respectively.

भारतीय सेना ने सरकारी क्षेत्र के पंजाब नैशनल बैंक के साथ सेना वेतन पैकेज के लिए समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए हैं। यह व्यक्तिगत दुर्घटना बीमा कवरेज पर भी विस्तारित लाभ देगा। यह समझौता ज्ञापन कार्यरत सैनिकों, पेंशनर्स और परिवारजनों की आवश्यकताओं के अनुसार है। संशोधित एमओयू में अतिरिक्‍त सुविधाएं भी जोड़ी गई हैं। इससे पहले भारतीय सेना ने 2011 में तीन साल के लिए पंजाब नैशनल बैंक के साथ इस तरह का समझौता किया था। वर्तमान एमओयू में कुछ सुविधाएं में सुधार किया गया है। पर्सनल एक्‍सीडेंट इंश्‍योरेंस (पीएआई) कवर को बढ़ाकर 2 लाख और 5 लाख रुपए किया गया है, जो कि पहले 50,000 और 2 लाख रुपए था।

5. Bank of Baroda, one of the leading public sector lenders announced that Ranjan Dhawan, executive director of the bank is now entrusted with the additional charge of the Managing Director & CEO of the bank for a further period of three months with effect from the date of issue of the order or till the date of appointment of regular MD & CEO or until further order (whichever is earlier). 

सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के अग्रणी बैंक, बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा ने बैंक के कार्यकारी निदेशक रंजन धवन को अगले तीन महीनों की अवधि के लिए बैंक के प्रबंध निदेशक और सीईओ का अतिरिक्त कार्यभार सौंपा है। वे आदेश जारी होने की तिथि या स्थायी एमडी या सीईओ की नियुक्ति कि तिथि या अगले आदेश तक (इनमें से जो भी पहले हो) तक अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभालेंगे।

7. According to the Manpower Global Employment Outlook Survey India has retained its second position globally in terms of hiring outlook of companies, but the pace of job additions will slow over the next three months. While Taiwan has kept its top slot globally in the quarterly Manpower Global Employment Outlook Survey, the hiring activity in India is expected to be largely driven by startups and demand in rural and semi-rural areas in the September quarter of 2015.

मैनपावर वैश्विक आर्थिक परिदृश्य सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार भारत ने कंपनियों के नियुक्ति परिदृश्य के मामले में वैश्विक स्तर पर अपना दूसरा स्थान बरकरार रखा है। हालांकि, नियुक्ति वृद्धि की रफ्तार अगले तीन महीनो में धीमी रहेगी। मैनपावर के तिमाही वैश्विक आर्थिक परिदृश्य सर्वेक्षण में ताइवान शीर्ष स्थान पर रहा। सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार सितंबर 2015 की तिमाही में भारत में नियुक्ति गतिविधि में आमतौर पर नई कंपनियों और ग्रामीण एवं अर्ध-ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में मांग का योगदान अधिक होगा।

8. The Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has rechristened Bhavishya Nidhi Adalat as 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat', in a bid to expand its reach and attract more participation. According to EPFO, Bhavishya Nidhi Adalat has been a key grievance redressal mechanism, but with changing times, subscribers' expectations have undergone a sea change. It's, therefore, required that EPFO adopts a new form and structure to reflect the changed ground realities regarding service delivery standards.

कर्मचारी भविष्य निधि संगठन (ईपीएफओ) ने ‘भविष्य निधि अदालत’का नाम बदलकर ‘निधि आपके निकट’कर दिया है। इसका उद्देशय भविष्य निधि अदालत के दायरे का विस्तार कर उसे कर्मियों व नियोक्ताओं दोनों के और अधिक निकट लाना है। ईपीएफओ के अनुसार अभी तक ‘भविष्य निधि अदालत’ईपीएफ से संबंधित शिकायतों के समाधान का प्रमुख मंच रहा है। परन्तु बदलते समय और ग्राहकों की बदलती अपेक्षाओं के लिहीज़ से इसका स्वरूप अपर्याप्त साबित हो रहा था। अतः इसे नया नाम देने का निर्णय लिया गया है। इससे सर्विस डिलीवरी के मानकों के स्तर को बदलती जमीनी हकीकतों के अनुरूप उठाया जा सकेगा। 

9. ISRO, the Indian space agency's low-cost Mangalyaan Mars Orbiter Mission has been presented with the Space Pioneer award for the year 2015 by the US National Space Society. Space Pioneer award for the year 2015 was presented to Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in the Science and Engineering category during the 34th Annual International Space Development Conference held at Toronto in Canada during May 20-24, 2015. National Space Society (NSS) of USA presented the award in recognition of ISRO's efforts in accomplishing Mars Mission in its very first attempt. 

भारतीय अंतरिक्ष एजेंसी इसरो के कम लागत वाले मंगलयान मार्स ऑर्बिटर मिशन को यूएस नेशनल स्पेस सोसायटी की ओर से वर्ष 2015 का 'स्पेस पॉयनियर अवॉर्ड' दिया गया है। 20 से 24 मई 2015 को टोरंटो में आयोजित इंटरनेशनल स्पेस डवलपमेंट कॉन्फ्रेंस में इंडियन स्पेस रिसर्च ऑर्गेनाइजेशन (इसरो) को साइंस एंड इंजीनियरिंग कैटेगरी में 'स्पेस पॉयनियर अवॉर्ड 2015' मिला है। अमेरिका स्थित नेशनल स्पेस सोसायटी ने अपने पहले ही प्रयास में मंगल ग्रह मिशन को पूरा करने के इसरो के प्रयासों को मान्यता देने हेतु उसे यह पुरस्कार प्रदान किया। 

10. Young marksman Anantjeet Naruka emerged as the country's star performer by winning an individual gold medal apart from a team gold as India returned with four medals from the 7th International Junior Shotgun Cup in Orimattila, Finland. Apart from two gold, the Indian team won one silver and one bronze medal. Anantjeet clinched the first place in the Junior men's skeet category. In the individual category, he shot a total of 110 and 12 .

भारतीय युवा निशानेबाज अनंतजीत नारुका ने ओरीमाटीला, फिनलैंड में आयोजित 7वें अंतर्राष्ट्रीय जूनियर शॉटगन कप में दो स्वर्ण पदक जीते। अनंतजीत ने व्यक्तिगत वर्ग में स्वर्ण पदक जीतने के बाद टीम का स्वर्ण पदक भी जीता। भारतीय टीम ने चैंपियनशिप में कुल दो स्वर्ण, एक रजत और एक कांस्य सहित कुल चार पदक जीते। अनंतजीत ने जूनियर पुरुषों के स्कीट के व्यक्तिगत वर्ग में 110 और 12 अंकों के साथ पहला स्थान पाया।
