IIFA Awards 2015 comes back once again for this year, so you better be prepared for a great and awesome show IIFA AWARDS 2015. The international Indian Film Academy Award once again will honor both artistic and technical excellence in Bollywood. And right now in everyone’s mind it is where IIFA Awards 2015 will be held for this year?

The are lots of rumors that this year there will be Barcelona, New York, London and Abu Dhabi! In the last 14 years, IIFA has travelled to continents like Africa, Europe, Asia and North America. But where it will take place we still know Now in  Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia so we will wait and see the greatest awards show takes place.

About IIFA (International Indian Film Academy)

Conceptualized and produced by Wizcraft International Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and supported by the key members of the Indian film fraternity, IIFA is the most appreciated South Asian film academy. Also, the IIFA Awards is India’s biggest media event. With a viewership of almost 800 million, it is among the world’s most-watched annual entertainment events. From a one night celebration in 2000 at the Millennium Dome, London, the last sixteen years have seen the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) movement grow into a cine-packed weekend of film-festivals, workshops, exhibitions, film-showcases and global business forums, all of which climax into the highlight of the Weekend, the IIFA Awards.

Mumbai, 22nd April, 2015: The International Indian Film Academy today announced the winners of the technical categories of India’s most prestigious international awards, The International Indian Film Awards.

The IIFA Rocks and Technical Awards are set to take place on the 5th of June in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This year’s Videocon D2H IIFA Weekend celebrations are slated for the first weekend of June, from the 5th – 7th in Kuala Lumpur.

Haider takes over the list this year and walks away with 6 awards in the technical category including Costume Designing (Dolly Ahluwalia), Background Score (Vishal Bhardwaj), Sound Mixing (Debajit Changmai), Sound Design (Shajith Koyeri), Production Design (Subrata Chakraborty & Amit Ray) and Make-up (Preetisheel Singh & Clover Wootton).

Other winners in the Technical category are Queen and Kick with 2 nods each. Queen took home the award for Screenplay (Vikas Bahl, Chaitally Parmar, Parveez Shaikh) and Editing (Aburag Kashyap and Abhijit Kokate) while Kick walked away with Choreography (Ahmed Khan) and Special Effects – Visual (Reupal Rawal). Ek Villian won for Song Recording (Eric Pillai) and PK walked away with an honor for Dialogue (Abhijit Joshi & Rajkumar Hirani). 2 States won an award for CinematographY (Binod Pradhan) and Bang Bang took home an accolade for Action (Parvez Shaikh and Andy Armstrong)

The IIFA Voting process is a stringent and methodical procedure that is closely monitored by KPMG, the official auditors for the event. Entries are received from all film makers for work done in the calendar year. The entries are placed before the Academy, comprising film industry members, for voting. On the basis of the voting, the winners of the Technical awards are decided. The results are surrounded by secrecy and the credibility of the voting process is one of the key parameters of this prestigious award.
