1. SBI Chief Arundhati Bhattacharya, ICICI bank head Chanda Kochhar, Biocon founder Kiran Mazumdar- Shaw and HT Media Chair Shobhana Bhartia are among the world's 100 most powerful women, according to the Forbes' annual list which is topped by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Two women of Indian-origin PepsiCo Chief Indra Nooyi and Cisco Chief Technology and Strategy Officer Padmasree Warrior also make the list. Forbes's 12th annual list of the 100 most influential women feature extraordinary entrepreneurs, visionary CEOs, politicians, celebrity role models, billionaire activists and pioneer philanthropists who are "transforming the world" and have been "ranked by dollars, media presence and impact".

एसबीआई प्रमुख अरुंधति भट्टाचार्य, आईसीआईसीआई बैंक की प्रमुख चंदा कोचर, बायोकॉन संस्थापक किरण मजूमदार शॉ और एचटी मीडिया की चेयरमैन शोभना भरतिया दुनिया की सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं में शामिल हैं। फोर्ब्स की सालाना सूची में इन्हें शीर्ष 100 में जगह मिली है। इसमें शीर्ष पर जर्मनी की चांसलर एंजेला मर्केल रही हैं। भारतीय मूल की दो महिलाओं पेप्सिको की प्रमुख इंदिरा नूयी और सिस्को की मुख्य तकनीक और रणनीति अधिकारी पद्मश्री वारियर ने भी इस सूची में जगह बनाई है। फोर्ब्स की 100 सबसे शक्तिशाली महिलाओं की 12वीं सालाना सूची में असाधारण विशेषताओं वाली उद्यमियों, विजनरी सीईओ, राजनेताओं, सेलेब्रिटी रोल मॉडल, अरबपतियों और विचारकों को शामिल किया गया है, जो दुनिया को ‘नई दिशा दे रही हैं।

2. China's Prime Minister Li Keqiang and Chilean President Michelle Bachelet signed a currency swap deal seeking to deepen economic ties by boosting trade and investment. The currency swap agreement between Chile's central bank and the People's Bank of China will ease the exchange of up to 2.2 trillion pesos (about USD 3.6 billion) for the next three years.

चीन के प्रधानमंत्री ली खछ्यांग और चिली के राष्ट्रपति मिचेल बाचलेट ने व्यापार और निवेश को बढ़ाने के द्वारा आर्थिक संबंधों को सुदृढ करने के लिए एक मुद्रा विनिमय समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए। चिली के केंद्रीय बैंक और चीन के पीपुल्स बैंक के बीच मुद्रा विनिमय समझौता अगले तीन वर्षों के लिए 2.2 खरब पेसोस (लगभग 3.6 अरब डॉलर) के आदान-प्रदान को सुविधाजनक बनाएगा।

3. Lt general (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma was sworn-in as the governor of Mizoram at the Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan. Justice T. Vaiphei, judge of the Gauhati high court, administered the oath of office to general Sharma. General Sharma, the former governor of Arunachal Pradesh, was transferred and appointed as Mizoram governor by President Pranab Mukherjee, replacing West Bengal governor Keshari Nath Tripathi who took additional charge of Mizoram. He is the eighth governor of Mizoram.

लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल (अवकाशप्राप्त) निर्भय शर्मा ने मिजोरम के राज्यपाल के रूप में शपथ ली। गुवाहाटी हाई कोर्ट के न्यायमूर्ति जस्टिस टी. वैफेई ने राजभवन के दरबार हॉल में जनरल शर्मा को पद की शपथ दिलाई। अरणाचल प्रदेश के पूर्व राज्यपाल जनरल शर्मा को राष्ट्रपति प्रणव मुखर्जी ने वहां से स्थानांतरण कर मिजोरम का राज्यपाल नियुक्त किया था और पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल केशरी नाथ त्रिपाठी को मिजोरम के अतिरिक्त प्रभार से मुक्त कर दिया था। जनरल शर्मा मिजोरम के आठवें राज्यपाल हैं । 

4. Ace cross-country bike racer C.S. Santosh won the coveted Motorsport Man of the Year award which carried a prize of Rs. 2 lakh. He won the award at the annual prize distribution function of the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI). Santosh received the Raymond Gautam Singhania Rolling Trophy for his achievements last season when he became the first and only Indian to participate in the world's toughest cross-country rally, the 9,000-km long Dakar rally in South America and finished 36th.

देश के स्टार मोटरसाइकिल रेसर सी.एस. संतोष को भारतीय मोटरस्पोर्ट्स क्लब संघ (एफएमएससीआई) ने मोटरस्पोर्ट मैन ऑफ द इयर अवॉर्ड से सम्मानित किया। संतोष को मोटरस्पोर्ट्स में भारत के इस शीर्ष अवार्ड के साथ 2 लाख रुपये की पुरस्कार राशि भी प्रदान की गई। संतोष ने रेमंड गौतम सिंघानिया रोलिंग ट्राफी प्राप्त की। संतोष पिछले साल दुनिया की कठिनतम ऑफ रोड रेसों में शुमार 9,000 किमी लंबी डकार रैली पूरी करने वाले भारत के पहले रेसर बने। डकार रैली के पिछले सत्र में संतोष ने 36वां स्थान हासिल किया।

5. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, launched DD Kisan – India's first television channel dedicated to farmers. The Prime Minister called for making the "Tehsil" the unit of agricultural planning and development. DD Kisan channel will keep an eye and inform farmers about the changes in weather, global markets etc., so that farmers can plan ahead and take the right decisions well in time.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी ने किसानों को समर्पित भारत का पहला टेलीविजन चैनल 'डीडी किसान' लांच किया। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा, 'तहसील कृषि नियोजन और विकास की इकाई होनी चाहिए'। डीडी किसान चैनल हमेशा सजग रहते हुए मौसम, वैश्विक बाजारों इत्यादि में होने वाले बदलावों से किसानों को अवगत कराता रहेगा, ताकि किसान पहले से ही उपयुक्‍त योजनाएं बना सकें और समय पर सही निर्णय ले सकें।

6. India and Vietnam signed a Joint Vision Statement on Defence Cooperation for the period 2015-2020. The Statement was signed by the Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and the Vietnamese Minister for National Defence General Phung Quang Thanh at the end of the delegation level talks in New Delhi. An MoU on cooperation between the Coast Guards of the two countries was also signed in the presence of the two Defence Ministers. The Vietnamese Defence Minister is on a 3-day official visit to the country at the invitation of Shri Parrikar. At the delegation level talks, the two sides discussed wide ranging issues concerning defence cooperation, including cooperation in the area of maritime security.

भारत और वियतनाम ने 2015-2020 के लिए रक्षा सहयोग पर संयुक्त विजन वक्तव्य पर हस्ताक्षर किया है। वक्तव्य पर रक्षा मंत्री मनोहर पर्रिकर तथा वियतनाम के रक्षा मंत्री जनरल फूंग क्वांग थान ने नई दिल्ली शिष्ट मंडल स्तर की बातचीत के अंत में हस्ताक्षर किए। दोनों रक्षामंत्रियों की उपस्थिति में दोनों देशों के तटरक्षकों के बीच सहयोग पर सहमति पत्र पर भी हस्ताक्षर किए गए। वियतनाम के रक्षामंत्री पर्रिकर के आमंत्रण पर भारत की 3 दिन की सरकारी यात्रा पर हैं। शिष्टमंडल स्तरीय बातचीत में दोनो पक्षों ने समुद्री सुरक्षा सहित रक्षा सहयोग के विभिन्न विषयों पर चर्चा की।

7. During his Budget Speech while presenting the General Budget 2015-16 in Parliament, the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had announced that the PPP mode of infrastructure development has to be revisited, and revitalized, in which the major issue involved is rebalancing of risk. In pursuance of this announcement, a Committee under the Chairmanship of Dr. Vijay Kelkar, former Finance Secretary and Chairman, National Institute of Public Finance & Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi has been constituted. Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC) shall provide secretarial assistance to the Committee. The Committee shall submit its report within a period of three months from the date of its Constitution.

संसद में 'आम बजट 2015-16' पेश करने के दौरान अपने बजट भाषण में केन्‍द्रीय वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली ने घोषणा की थी कि बुनियादी ढांचागत विकास के पीपीपी मॉडल पर नये सिरे से विचार किया जायेगा और इसमें नई जान फूंकी जायेगी। इसके तहत प्रमुख मसला जोखिमों को पुनर्संतुलित करना है। इस घोषणा पर अमल करते हुए डॉ. विजय केलकर, पूर्व वित्त सचिव एवं नई दिल्‍ली स्थित राष्‍ट्रीय सार्वजनिक वित्त एवं नीति संस्‍थान (एनआईपीएफपी) के अध्‍यक्ष, की अध्‍यक्षता में एक समिति गठित की गई है। ढांचागत विकास वित्त कंपनी (आईडीएफसी) समिति को सचिवीय सहायता मुहैया करायेगी। समिति अपने गठन की तिथि से तीन माह के भीतर अपनी रिपोर्ट पेश कर देगी।

8. Delhi Government approved mandatory Global Positioning System (GPS) in all public transport vehicles for safety of passengers from 1st June 2015. Under this, directions for all vehicles to take renewed certificate of fitness was issued. The decision was taken keeping in view the security and safety of commuters, especially women. The press release said that after 1 June 2015, no commercial or passenger vehicle will be allowed a fitness certificate if it doesn't have a GPS device. The GPS devices will be available from Driving Licence Appointment and Payment System (DIMTS).

दिल्ली सरकार ने यात्रियों की सुरक्षा हेतु 1 जून 2015 से सभी सार्वजनिक परिवहन वाहनों में ग्लोबल पोजिशनिंग सिस्टम (जीपीएस) लगाना अनिवार्य करने की घोषणा की। इसके तहत सभी वाहनों को नए सिरे से फिटनेस सर्टिफिकेट लेने का आदेश जारी किया गया। जिसमें जीपीएस नहीं होगा, उन्हें सर्टिफिकेट जारी नहीं किया जायेगा। दिल्ली सरकार द्वारा खासकर महिलाओं की सुरक्षा को ध्यान में रखकर यह निर्णय लिया गया। जीपीएस डिवाइस ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस नियुक्ति और भुगतान प्रणाली (डीआईएमटीएस) द्वारा उपलब्ध होगी।

9. National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) and Data Security Council of India (DSCI) have launched NASSCOM Cyber Security Task Force. The aim of task force is to build India as a global hub for providing cyber security solutions, developing cyber security Research & Development (R&D) plan and develop a skilled workforce of cyber security experts.

सॉफ्टवेयर एवं सेवा कंपनियों के राष्ट्रीय संघ (नैसकॉम) तथा भारतीय डाटा सुरक्षा परिषद (डीएससीआई) ने नैसकॉम साइबर सुरक्षा टास्क फोर्स का शुभारंभ किया। टास्क फोर्स का उद्देश्य भारत को साइबर सुरक्षा समाधान प्रदान करने वाले वैश्विक हब के रूप में बनाना, साइबर सुरक्षा अनुसंधान एवं विकास (आर एंड डी) योजना को विकसित करना और साइबर सुरक्षा विशेषज्ञों के एक कुशल कार्यबल का विकास करना है।
