1. Conservative challenger Andrzej Duda has won Poland's Presidential election, ousting the incumbent, Bronislaw Komorowski in a run-off vote. 43-year-old Duda won 51.55% of the votes whereas 62-year-old Bronislaw Komorowski garnered 48.45% of votes. Turnout was 55.34% in the country of more than 37 million people.

पोलैंड के राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में कंजर्वेटिव चैलेंजर आंद्रजेज दूदा निवर्तमान राष्ट्रपति ब्रोनीस्लो कोमोरोस्की को हराने के साथ ही देश के नए राष्ट्रपति निर्वाचित हो गए। मतदान में 43 वर्षीय दूदा के पक्ष में 51.55 प्रतिशत वोट पड़े जबकि 62 वर्षीय कोमोरोस्की को 48.45 फीसदी मत मिले। 37 मिलियन से अधिक लोगों के इस देश के चुनाव में 55.34 प्रतिशत मतदान हुआ था। 

2. Saurabh Kumar, an IFS officer of 1989 batch, was appointed as the next Indian Ambassador to Iran. The officer is currently posted as a Joint Secretary in the National Security Council Secretariat.

सौरभ कुमार को ईरान में भारत के अगले राजदूत के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। वह 1989 बैच के आईएफएस अधिकारी हैं। वर्तमान में कुमार राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा परिषद सचिवालय में एक संयुक्त सचिव के पद पर कार्यरत हैं। 

3. Chinese women tennis player Liang Chen paired up with Chinese Taipei's Chuang Chia-Jung to win the women's doubles title of the Strasbourg International Tennis Tounament, taking home 9,919 euros in prize money. Liang and Chuang defeated Nadiia Kichenok of Ukraine and Zheng Saisai of China with 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(10).

चीन की महिला टेनिस खिलाड़ी लियांग चेन और चीनी ताइपे की उनकी जोड़ीदार चुआंग चिया-जुंग ने युक्रेन की नाडिया किचेनोक और चीन की झेंग साइसाइ की जोड़ी को हराकर स्ट्रासबर्ग अंतर्राष्ट्रीय टेनिस टूर्नामेंट का महिला युगल खिताब जीत लिया। उन्हें पुरस्कार राशि के रूप में 9,919 यूरो मिले। लियांग और चुआंग ने युक्रेनी-चीनी जोड़ी को 4-6, 6-4, 7-6(10) से हराया। 

4. Batsman Ajinkya Rahane won the CEAT Indian Cricketer of the Year award while former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara clinched the International Cricketer of the Year honour. Former India captain Kapil Dev was conferred with the International Lifetime Achievement Award at the 19th edition of the awards. CEAT Cricket Ratings honored players for outstanding performance in international cricket. Players were awarded prizes for their performance in the year 2014-2015.

5. A leading Indian-origin entrepreneur has been elected as the head of the Bureau of International Recycling, a global organisation that facilitates free and fair trade of recyclables in a sustainable and competitive world economy. Ranjit Singh Baxi, chairman of J & H Sales (International) ltd, will serve a two-year term as president of the Brussels-based recycling association. The election was held at the association's World Convention & Exhibition in Dubai.

भारतीय मूल के बड़े कारोबारी रंजीत सिंह बख्शी को ब्यूरो ऑफ इंटरनैशनल रीसाइक्लिंग का अध्यक्ष चुना गया है। ब्यूरो ऑफ इंटरनैशनल रीसाइक्लिंग एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय संस्था है, जो उपयुक्त और प्रतियोगी विश्व अर्थव्यवस्था में रीसाइकल होने योग्य चीजों के स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष व्यापार का रास्ता आसान करती है। जे ऐंड एच सेल्स (इंटरनैशनल) लिमिटेड के चेयरमैन रंजीत सिंह बख्शी ब्रुसेल्स स्थित इस रीसाइक्लिंग असोसिएशन के दो साल तक अध्यक्ष रहेंगे। अध्यक्ष का चुनाव दुबई में असोसिएशन के वर्ल्ड कंवेंशन ऐंड एक्सिबिशन में हुआ था। 

6. Country's largest private lender ICICI Bank today said it has launched a service where customers can make transactions using just their voice, without using other means of authentication like a password. The voice recognition service authenticates customers based on their speech patterns and allows them to execute banking transactions through the bank's call centre. Customers, in general, use various means of authentication like entering card numbers, answering security questions and entering a personal identification number (PIN) to carry out a phone banking transaction.

देश में निजी क्षेत्र के सबसे बड़े बैंक आई.सी.आई.सी.आई. बैंक ने एक ऐसी सेवा शुरू की जिसके तहत ग्राहक अपनी आवाज का इस्तेमाल पासवर्ड के तौर पर कर सकते हैं। आवाज पहचान कर ग्राहकों का सत्यापन करने वाली इस सुविधा के तहत ग्राहक बैंक के कॉल सेंटर के जरिए बैंकिंग लेनदेन कर सकते हैं। आमतौर पर ग्राहकों को फोन बैंकिंग लेनदेन के लिए प्रमाणन की कई प्रक्रियाओं से गुजरना पड़ता है जिसमें कार्ड नंबर की प्रविष्टि करना, सुरक्षा संबंधी प्रश्नों के उत्तर देना और पिन भरना आदि शामिल है।

7. China, the world's biggest gold producer, has set up a gold sector fund involving countries along the ancient Silk Road. The fund, led by Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE), is expected to raise an estimated 100 billion yuan ($16.1 billion) in three phases.

दुनिया के सबसे बड़े स्‍वर्ण उत्‍पादक देश चीन ने एतिहासिक सिल्‍क रोड से जुड़े देशों को शामिल करते हुए सबसे बड़ा गोल्‍ड सेक्‍टर फंड स्‍थापित किया है। शंघाई गोल्‍ड एक्‍सचेंज (एसजीई) की ओर से जारी इस फंड की मदद से तीन चरणों में 16.1 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर जुटाने की योजना है। 

8. Mercedes racing driver Nico Rosberg of Germany won the Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 World Championship title for the third straight year by winning the final race held in Monaco. While Sebastian Vettel of Germany representing the Ferrari team stood at the second position, Rosberg’s team mate Lewis Hamiltion of UK was at the third positon.

जर्मनी के मर्सिडीज के ड्राइवर निको रोसबर्ग ने लगातार तीसरी बार मोनाको ग्रां प्रि फॉर्मूला-1 रेस का खिताब जीत लिया। जबकि जर्मनी के सेबेस्टियन वेट्टल जो फेरारी टीम का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हैं दूसरे स्थान पर रहे, वहीं रोसबर्ग के टीम के साथी ब्रिटेन के लुईस हेमिलटन को तीसरा स्थान प्राप्त हुआ। 

9. Global money transfer major Western Union has renewed its 14-year-old partnership with India Post, which is now in the race to become a payments bank. After the renewed agreement, nearly 10,000 post offices will continue to serve as Western Union agents. People can continue to receive money sent from other locations through post offices.

वैश्विक मनी ट्रांसफर कंपनी वेस्टर्न यूनियन की भारतीय डाक के साथ 14 साल पुरानी साझेदारी का नवीकरण हो गया। भारतीय डाक फिलहाल पेमेंट बैंक बनने की दौड़ में शामिल है। नए समझौते के अनुसार देश के लगभग 10,000 डाकखाने वेस्टर्न यूनियन के एजेंट के एजेंट के रूप में काम करते रहेंगे। हालांकि समझौते की अवधि से संबंधित ब्योरा नहीं दिया गया है। लोग दूसरे स्थानों से भेजी गई धनराशि को डाकखानों के माध्यम से आगे भी प्राप्त करते रहेंगे। 

10. Union Government has appointed Manoj Mishra as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of state-run National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL). The post of CMD of NFL was lying vacant since February 2014 after the retirement of then CMD Neeru Abrol. Presently, Mishra is posted as Director Finance at State Trading Corporation (STC).

केंद्र सरकार ने मनोज मिश्रा को राज्य- संचालित नेशनल फर्टिलाइजर्स लिमिटेड (एनएफएल) का अध्यक्ष एवं प्रबंध निदेशक नियुक्त किया है। मनोज मिश्रा ने फरवरी 2014 में सेवानिवृत हुए नीरू अबरोल का स्थान लिया। वर्तमान में, मिश्रा राज्य वाणिज्य निगम (एसटीसी) में निदेशक वित्त के रूप में कार्यरत हैं।
