Arijit Singh is an Indian playback singer and a music programmer. Born in Jiaganj, Murshidabad, his career began upon participating in the truth show Fame Gurukul (2005), which he lost the finals. After winning another reality show known as ten Ke 10 Le Gaye Dil, Singh engineered a recording setup of his own, starting his journey with music programming. Subsequently, he went to become as an assistant music programmer to Pritam Chakraborty, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar and Mithoon.

Talented singer Arijit Singh has secretly tied the knot together with his childhood friend, Koel Roy on 21 January. The ceremony, which passed off at Tarapith, West Bengal, was a hush-hush affair, with solely the duo's family and close friends turning up to bless the couple. Sources said "The 2 of them had a mannat at the Kali temple, which is why the marriage was held there. Both the families had their consent during this marriage."
