Veteran actor Satish Shah, who made his career with the television series “Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi” and followed it with “Ghar Jamai,” “All The Best” and “Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai,” is set to collaborate with the last-mentioned sitcom makers J.D. Majethia and Aatish Kapadia of Hat’s Off Productions on a new television show. This marks his comeback to the small screen after almost a decade.
Shah considers the “Sarabhai…” team like family, and they still meet occasionally, even as the most original and hilarious sitcom ever on Indian television keeps having repeat airings.
Shah will be doing workshops for the new show, and, like “Sarabhai…” and the same makers’ “Khichdi,” this will be a clean, wholesome, comic show, revolving around one family. The weekly or bi-weekly show will have two prominent female leads.
Shah has always been busy with movies in the interim and has not had either the time or inclination for daily soaps.
