1. India is home to the fourth largest number of ultra-high-networth households that have more than 100 million dollars in private wealth, according to Boston Consulting Group’s ‘Global Wealth 2015: Winning the Growth Game’ report. The US remains the country with the largest number of ultra-high-networth (UHNW) households at 5,201, followed by China (1,037), the UK (1,019), India (928) and Germany (679) in 2014, it said. India’s UHNW households grew manifold from 2013 when the number stood at 284.

बोस्टन कंसल्टिंग ग्रुप की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार भारत 10 करोड डॉलर या उससे अधिक की सम्पत्ति वाले अतिधनाढ्य परिवारों की संख्या के हिसाब से विश्व में चौथे स्थान पर है। इस सूची में अमेरिका शीर्ष स्थान पर है। अमेरिका में 2014 में अतिउच्च कोटि के धनाढ्यों की संख्या 5,302 थी उसके बाद चीन (1,037), ब्रिटेन (1,019), भारत (928) और जर्मनी (679) का स्थान रहा। भारत के धनाढ्य परिवारों की संख्या 2013 के 284 के मुकाबले एक साल में तीन गुनी से भी अधिक हो गयी।

2. India has signed a major motor vehicles pact with three SAARC nations — Bhutan, Bangladesh and Nepal —to enable seamless transit of passenger and cargo vehicles among them. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari signed the Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal (BBIN) Motor Vehicle Agreement (MVA) for Regulation of Passenger, Personal and Cargo Vehicular Traffic along with transport ministers of the other three nations at Bhutan’s capital Thimpu.

सदस्य देशों के बीच यात्री और माल वाहनों के निर्बाध पारगमन को सुगम बनाने के लिए भारत ने तीन सार्क देशों- भूटान, बांग्लादेश और नेपाल- के साथ एक प्रमुख मोटर वाहन संधि पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्री नितिन गडकरी ने भूटान की राजधानी थिम्पू में अन्य तीन देशों के परिवहन मंत्रियों के साथ-यात्रियों, कर्मियों और कार्गो वाहनों के यातायात के नियमन के लिए बांग्लादेश, भूटान, भारत और नेपाल (BBIN) मोटर वाहन करार (एमवीए) पर हस्ताक्षर किए। 

3. Now the Income Tax Return – Verification (ITR V) need not to be posted provided that ‘Aadhaar’ number has been provided in the return form.The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), has decided to introduce a completely paperless and hassle-free system for individual tax payers. Aadhaar record has all the biometrics, including the signature. So, verification will be done on the basis of this unique identity number and filing will be completed. 

अब आयकर रिटर्न-सत्यापन (आईटीआर-वी) को पोस्ट करने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी बशर्ते कि 'आधार' संख्या आयकर रिटर्न फार्म में प्रदान की गयी हो। केंद्रीय प्रत्यक्ष कर बोर्ड (सीबीडीटी) ने व्यक्तिगत करदाताओं के लिए पूरी तरह से कागज रहित और चिंतामुक्त प्रणाली लागू करने का फैसला किया है। आधार रिकॉर्ड में हस्ताक्षर सहित सभी बॉयोमीट्रिक्स मौजूद होते हैं अतः, सत्यापन इस अनूठी पहचान संख्या के आधार पर किया जाएगा और फाइलिंग की प्रक्रिया पूरी हो जाएगी।

4. Capital markets regulator SEBI has barred Karvy Stock Broking from taking up new IPO assignments, including acting as syndicate member or providing syndication services (procuring IPO applications and bidding in IPOs), for one year in a case related to the IPO scam of 2003-05.

पूंजी बाजार नियामक सेबी ने 2003-05 के आईपीओ घोटाले से संबंधित एक मामले में सिंडिकेट सदस्य के रूप में कार्य करने या सिंडिकेशन सेवाएं (आईपीओ आवेदन खरीद और आईपीओ में बोली लगाने) उपलब्ध कराने सहित, कार्वी स्टॉक ब्रोकिंग को नए आईपीओ कार्य लेने से एक वर्ष के लिए प्रतिबंधित कर दिया है । 

5. The Asian Development Bank has agreed to double the funding to support India’s urban development from $2.6 billion per annum at present to up to $5 billion per annum. ADB will also support ‘smart cities mission’ and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) in seven states — Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. 

एशियाई विकास बैंक भारत की शहरी विकास परियोजना के समर्थन के लिए वित्तीय सहायता को वर्तमान 2.6 अरब डॉलर प्रतिवर्ष से दुगुना करते हुए 5 अरब डॉलर करने पर सहमत हो गया है। एडीबी सात राज्यों-आंध्र प्रदेश, मध्य प्रदेश, कर्नाटक, राजस्थान, गुजरात, तमिलनाडु और महाराष्ट्र में 'स्मार्ट शहर मिशन' और अटल कायाकल्प और शहरी परिवर्तन (अमृत) मिशन का समर्थन करेंगी।

6. An Egyptian court sentenced former President Mohamed Morsi to 25 years in prison in a case related to conspiring with foreign groups. The general guide of the Muslim Brotherhood Mohamed Badie was also sentenced to 25 years in jail in the same case. In total, 17 were given life sentences.The court also sentenced Muslim Brotherhood leader Khairat el-Shater and two others to death in the same case. 

मिस्र की एक अदालत ने विदेशी समूहों के साथ षड्यंत्र से संबंधित एक मामले में पूर्व राष्ट्रपति मोहम्मद मोर्सी को 25 साल कारावास की सजा सुनाई है। मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड के जनरल गाइड मोहम्मद बाडी को भी इसी मामले में 25 साल कारावास की सजा सुनाई गयी है। कुल मिलाकर, 17 लोगों को इस मामले में आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई गयी है। अदालत ने इस मामले में मुस्लिम ब्रदरहुड के नेता खैरात अल शतेर और दो अन्य लोगों को मौत की सजा सुनाई है।

7. India and Poland has set an ambitious trade target of USD 5 billion at the fourth session of the bilateral Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in Warsaw. The commission drew a blueprint for stepping up investments and identified a series of actions to raise trade from the 2014 level of USD 2.3 billion, to USD 5 billion by the year 2018.

भारत और पोलैंड ने वारसा में आयोजित आर्थिक सहयोग पर द्विपक्षीय संयुक्त आयोग के चौथी सत्र के बैठक में 5 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर का एक महत्वाकांक्षी व्यापार लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है। आयोग ने निवेश के लिए उठाए जाने वाले कदमों का एक खाका खींचा है और 2014 के 2.3 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर के व्यापार स्तर को बढ़ाकर वर्ष 2018 तक 5 अरब अमेरिकी डॉलर करने का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया है।

8. The world's tallest peak, Mount Everest, moved three centimetres (1.2 inches) to the southwest because of the Nepal earthquake that devastated the country in April. The 7.8-magnitude quake reversed the gradual northeasterly course of the mountain, according to a report in the China Daily, citing the National Administration of Surveying, Mapping and Geoinformation. 

दुनिया का सबसे ऊंचा पर्वत शिखर माउंट एवरेस्ट अप्रैल में आए भूकंप के चलते अपने मूल स्थान से खिसक गया है । भूकंप की वजह से माउंट एवरेस्ट दक्षिण-पश्चिम की ओर 3 सेंटीमीटर खिसका है। चीन के सरकारी अखबार 'चाइना डेली' ने नैशनल ऐडमिनिस्ट्रेशन ऑफ सर्वेइंग, मैपिंग ऐंड जियोइन्फर्मेशन की रिपोर्ट के आधार पर यह जानकारी दी है। अखबार ने लिखा है कि सामान्य तौर पर नॉर्थ-ईस्ट की तरफ बढ़ रहे पहाड़ को भूकंप ने पीछे धकेल दिया है।

9. India and Pakistan are reportedly expanding their nuclear arsenal, despite a global trend towards disarmament, the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has said. The disarmament report prepared by the Swedish institute said that though the number of warheads fell from 22,600 to 15,850 between 2010 and 2015, India (90 to 100 warheads) and Pakistan (100 to 120 warheads) undertook “extensive and expensive long-term modernisation programmes”. 

भारत और पाकिस्तान सैन्य उद्देश्य की पूर्ति के लिए परमाणु हथियारों के जखीरे का विस्तार कर रहे हैं। भारत और पाकिस्तान लगातार ऎसे सिस्टम बना रहे हैं जिससे परमाणु हथियारों का इस्तेमाल और विस्तार सैन्य जरूरतों के लिए किया जा सके। पाकिस्तान के पास भारत से कहीं अधिक परमाणु हथियार हैं। भारत के पास 80 से 100 परमाणु हथियार हैं जबकि पाकिस्तान में इनकी संख्या 90 से 110 है। यह बात स्वीडन की प्रख्यात संस्था स्टॉकहोम इंटरनेशनल पीस रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (सिपरी) की वार्षिक रिपोर्ट में कही गई है।

10. The Centre has approved an anti-chit fund bill passed by West Bengal Assembly in 2013, state Finance Minister Amit Mitra said. Centre has given green signal to West Bengal Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishments Bill. The Centre has also agreed to the state government’s proposal of having provisions for strong punishment in such financial crimes, which was also in the Bill.

पश्चिम बंगाल के वित्त मंत्री अमित मित्रा के अनुसार केंद्र ने 2013 में राज्य विधानसभा में मंजूर चिट फंड रोधी विधेयक को मंजूरी दे दी है। केंद्र ने ‘पश्चिम बंगाल प्रोटेक्शन ऑफ इंटरेस्ट ऑफ डिपोजिटर्स इन फाइनेंशियल एस्टेब्लिशमेंट विधेयक’ को मंजूरी दे दी है। केंद्र राज्य सरकार के उस प्रस्ताव पर भी सहमत है जिसमें ऐसे वित्तीय अपराधों के लिए कड़ी सजा का प्रावधान किया गया है।
