1. Punjab has become the first state in India to issue Soil Health Cards (SHCs), a Union Government initiative to all farmers in the state. In this regard, every district of state has been assigned mobile soil testing lab. These labs will take soil sample from every farm and issue digitalised soil health details. Presently, state government has 66 such laboratories and has capability to test 3.5 lakh soil samples annually. 

पंजाब मृदा स्वास्थ्य कार्ड (एसएचसी), राज्य में सभी किसानों के लिए केन्द्र सरकार की एक पहल, जारी करने वाला भारत का पहला राज्य बन गया है। इस संबंध में, राज्य के हर जिले को मोबाइल मृदा परीक्षण प्रयोगशाला दी गयी है। यह प्रयोगशालाऐं हर खेत से मिट्टी के नमूने लेंगी और डिजिटलीकृत मृदा स्वास्थ्य विवरण जारी करेंगी। वर्तमान में, राज्य सरकार के पास 66 ऐसी प्रयोगशालाऐं है और इनकी सालाना 3.5 लाख मिट्टी के नमूनों का परीक्षण करने की क्षमता है।

2. The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, gave its approval for signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India and the People’s Republic of China on cooperation in the field of mining and mineral sector. The MOU will provide an institutional mechanism between India and the People's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of mining and mineral sector. The MoU will help in exchange of information on resources, laws and policy; organization of seminars to exchange views on development strategies; encouragement of transfer of technologies and promotion of value addition.

प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्‍द्र मोदी की अध्‍यक्षता में केन्‍द्रीय मंत्रिमण्‍डल ने खनन एवं खनिज क्षेत्र में भारत और चीन के बीच सहमति करार (एमओयू) पर हस्‍ताक्षर किए जाने को अपनी मंजूरी दे दी। यह एमओयू खनन एवं खनिज क्षेत्र में सहयोग के लिए भारत और चीन के बीच एक संस्‍थागत व्‍यवस्‍था की स्‍थापना का मार्ग प्रशस्‍त करेगा। इस एमओयू से संसाधनों से जुड़ी सूचनाओं के आदान-प्रदान, कानून एवं नीति, विकास रणनीतियों पर विचारों के आदान-प्रदान के लिए संगोष्ठियों के आयोजन, तकनीकों के हस्‍तांतरण को बढ़ावा देने और मूल्‍यवर्द्धन को प्रोत्‍साहित करने में भी मदद मिलेगी।

3. Uttar Pradesh Government has launched Samajwadi water ATM scheme at bus stations. The scheme was launched by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. It seeks to provide potable water to bus passengers at reasonable price. In this regard, state government will install water ATMs at most of the bus stations which will provide potable water at the rate of 1 rupee per litre and cold water at 2 rupees per litre.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने शीतल पेयजल योजना के तहत बस स्टेशनों पर 'समाजवादी वाटर एटीएम' का शुभारंभ किया। योजना उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री अखिलेश यादव द्वारा शुरू की गई। इसके तहत उचित मूल्य पर बस यात्रियों को पीने का पानी उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा। इस संबंध में राज्य सरकार अधिकतर बस स्टेशनों पर वाटर एटीएम स्थापित करेगी जो 1 रुपये प्रति लीटर की दर से पीने योग्य पानी तथा 2 रुपए प्रति लीटर की दर से ठंडा पानी उपलब्ध कराएगा।

4. Tata Communications, a communications sector company, appointed Pratibha K. Advani as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Advani will be posted in India and will look after strategic financial management of the company, including corporate affairs and investor relations.

संचार क्षेत्र की कंपनी टाटा कम्यूनिकेशंस ने प्रतिभा के. आडवाणी को मुख्य वित्तीय अधिकारी (सीएफओ) नियुक्त किया है। आडवाणी भारत में कार्य करेंगी। वे कंपनी के कॉरपोरेट मामलों और निवेशक संबंध समेत वित्तीय प्रबंधन से जुड़े निर्णयों के लिए जिम्मेदार होंगी।

5. An Indian-origin councillor woman became the first Asian woman elected mayor of Ealing Council in London. Harbhajan Kaur Dheer, 62, at a ceremony at the Victoria Hall at Ealing Council became the Mayor of Ealing Council after succeeding councillor Tej Ram Bagha.

भारतीय मूल की महिला पाषर्द लंदन के ईलिंग परिषद की मेयर चुनी गई हैं। वे इस पद पर चयनित होने वाली प्रथम एशियाई महिला हैं। ईलिंग परिषद के विक्टोरिया हॉल में आयोजित एक समारोह में 62-वर्षीय हरभजन कौर धीर को तेज राम बाघा का उतराधिकारी चुना गया। 

6. Judo Federation of India (JFI) president Mukesh Kumar has been elected unopposed as the general secretary of Judo Union of Asia (JUA). Besides Kumar, Obaid Al-Anzi was also re-elected as president of JUA for the next four years in its Ordinary Congress held at Hotel Jumeirah, Kuwait.

भारतीय जूडो महासंघ (जेएफआई) के अध्यक्ष मुकेश कुमार को निर्विरोध रुप से एशियाई जूडो संघ (जेयूए) का महासचिव निर्वाचित किया गया। कुवैत के होटल जुमैराह में हुई आम सभा में कुमार के अलावा ओबैद अल अंजी को भी अगले चार साल के लिए दोबारा जेयूए का अध्यक्ष निर्वाचित किया गया।

7. India growth story received an impetus when rating agency Moody's said it will grow at a strong pace of 7.5 per cent in 2015-16, the highest among G20 economies, helped by the reforms drive and lower oil prices.

भारत की वृद्धि की मजबूत संभावनाओं पर स्वीकृति जताते हुए रेटिंग एजेंसी मूडीज ने कहा कि देश 2015-16 में 7.5 प्रतिशत की जोरदार वृद्धि दर्ज करेगा। भारत की वृद्धि दर जी20 अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में सबसे अधिक होगी और इसमें सुधार की पहलों तथा कच्चे तेल में नरमी से मदद मिलेगी।

8. Peter Gay, a popular and prize-winning historian who meticulously traced the rise of secular Western thought, from a prize-winning history of the Enlightenment to a best-selling biography of Sigmund Freud, has died. Gay died at his home in Manhattan. He was 91.

पीटर गे, लोकप्रिय एवं पुरस्कार-विजेता इतिहासकार, जिन्होंने प्रबुद्धता के पुरस्कृत इतिहास और सिगमंड फ्रायड की सर्वाधिक बिकने वाली जीवनी से कुशलता से धर्मनिरपेक्ष पश्चिमी विचारधारा के विकास का पता लगाया था, का निधन हो गया। गे का निधन मैनहट्टन में उनके घर पर हुआ। वे 91 वर्ष के थे।

9. The Cabinet approved the government's flagship “Namami Gange” programme, which integrates the efforts to clean and protect the River Ganga in a comprehensive manner. The programme has a budget outlay of Rs. 20,000 crore for the next 5 years. The amount was a significant four-fold increase over the expenditure allocated to the task of cleaning the Ganga over the past 30 years.

मंत्रिमंडल ने सरकार की महत्‍वाकांक्षी 'नमामि गंगे' योजना को मंजूरी दे दी। इसके तहत गंगा को स्‍वच्‍छ और संरक्षित करने के लिए अगले पांच साल में 20,000 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए जाएंगे। यह राशि गंगा की सफाई पर पिछले 30 साल में खर्च की गई राशि का चार गुना है।

10. Kolkata-born writer Neel Mukherjee won Britain’s literary award. His novel "The Lives of Others" has won the UK's Encore Award for the best second novel. He has been awarded a cash prize of 10,000 pounds.

कोलकाता मूल के लेखक नील मुखर्जी को ब्रिटेन में साहित्यिक पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया है। उनके उपन्यास 'द लाइव्स ऑफ अदर्स' को दूसरे सर्वश्रेष्ठ उपन्यास के लिए एनकोर अवार्ड दिया गया है। इस सम्मान के तहत नील को 10,000 पौंड की राशि प्रदान की गई।
