1. Indian and Russian institutions of higher learning inked 11 Memorandum of Intent (MoI) to establish the Network of Institutions of Higher Education. Among those that signed the memorandum were IIT Bombay, Madras and Delhi and also University of Delhi, Indian Statistical Institute and Institution of Engineers. The MoIs were inked in Moscow in presence of President Pranab Mukherjee, who is on a four day visit to Russia.

उच्च शिक्षा के भारतीय और रूसी संस्थानों ने उच्च शिक्षा के संस्थानों का नेटवर्क स्थापित करने के लिए 11 सहमति पत्रों (एमओआई) पर हस्ताक्षर किए। ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर करने वालों में भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान मुंबई, मद्रास और दिल्ली तथा दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय, भारतीय सांख्यिकी संस्थान और इंस्टीट्यूशन ऑफ इंजीनियर्स भी थे। रूस की चार दिन की यात्रा पर गए राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी की उपस्थिति में मास्को में एमओआई पर हस्ताक्षर किए गये। 

2. The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) announced a 10 percent or 5 paise reduction in charges for transactions on its inter-bank ATM network. It will give relieve to those customers who transact money from other banks ATM because of some reasons. The Reserve Bank-promoted body, the National Financial Switch (NFS) has reduced the charges to 45 paise.

दूसरे बैंक के एटीएम से नकदी निकालने पर लगने वाले शुल्क में राष्ट्रीय भुगतान निगम ने 10 प्रतिशत यानी कि 5 पैसे की कटौती कर दी है। इससे ऐसे एटीएम कार्ड धारकों को राहत मिलेगी, जिन्हें किसी कारणों से अन्य बैंक के एटीएम से ट्रांजेक्शन करना पड़ता है। रिजर्व बैंक की प्रोमोटिड बॉडी नेशनल फाइनेंशियल स्विच ने अपने चार्जेस घटा कर 45 पैसे कर दिए हैं।

3. Axis Bank has unveiled the 24 hour money transfer facility and its multi-social payment solution mobile app ‘Ping Pay’ to enable customers with smart phones to transfer funds, person to person, including to non-Axis Bank account-holders, using varied social media channels. With the help of this app an Axis Bank customer can transfer from Rs.10 to Rs. 50,000 on daily basis. ‘Ping Pay’ will enable Axis Bank customers to transfer money to any bank account through social messaging channels like WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter, Email and Phone Contact lists.

एक्सिस बैंक ने अपने ग्राहकों के लिए चौबीसों घंटे धन अन्तरण की सुविधा उपलब्ध कराने वाली सेवा और उसका मल्टी-सोशल पेमेंट मोबाइल एप ‘पिंग पे’ शुरू किया। ‘पिंग पे’ मोबाइल एप से एक्सिस बैंक के स्मार्ट मोबाइल फोन धारक ग्राहक अपने सोशल माध्यम व्हाट्स एप, फेसबुक, ट्विटर और ई-मेल के संपर्क वाले व्यक्ति को किसी भी समय बिना किसी शुल्क के धन अन्तरण कर सकते हैं। केवल एक्सिस बैंक के ग्राहक ही इस सुविधा के जरिये रकम भेज सकते हैं, लेकिन पैसे प्राप्त करने वाला व्यक्ति किसी अन्य बैंक का भी ग्राहक हो सकता है। इस सुविधा के जरिए बैंक का ग्राहक देश में अपने संपर्क के किसी भी व्यक्ति को प्रतिदिन 10 रुपये से लेकर 50,000 रुपये तक ट्रांसफर कर सकता है।

4. India successfully test-fired an advanced version of the BrahMos land-attack cruise missile from the Car Nicobar Islands as it revalidated the weapon's precision strike capability. The land-to-land configuration of BrahMos Block-III version was test launched from a Mobile Autonomous Launcher (MAL) for its full-range of 290-km.

भारत ने ब्रह्मोस लैंड-अटैक क्रूज मिसाइल के आधुनिक संस्करण का कार निकोबार द्वीपसमूह से सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया और सटीकता से प्रहार करने की प्रक्षेपास्त्र की क्षमता को फिर से प्रमाणित किया। ब्रह्मोस ब्लॉक-3 संस्करण के जमीन-से-जमीन पर प्रहार करने वाले स्वरूप का 290 किलोमीटर की इसकी पूरी मारक क्षमता के लिए एक मोबाइल ऑटोनोमस लांचर (एमएएल) से परीक्षण प्रक्षेपण किया गया। 

5. Internationally renowned star Jackie Chan has extended his support to anti-drug campaign, thereby becoming Singapore's first anti-drug celebrity.

अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर प्रसिद्ध स्टार जैकी चेन ड्रग-विरोधी अभियान को अपना समर्थन प्रदान करते हुए सिंगापुर के पहले ड्रग-विरोधी सेलिब्रिटी बन गए हैं।

6. Indian men hockey team's goalkeeper and Vice-Captain P.R. Srijesh and the women's team forward Rani Rampal has been chosen as Best Hockey Player of the Year in Men and Women category respectively in the Times of India Sports Awards (TOISA) function. Srijesh and Rani were awarded for their consistent performance in 2014.

भारतीय पुरुष हॉकी टीम के गोलकीपर और उप-कप्तान पी.आर. श्रीजेश तथा महिला टीम की फारवर्ड रानी रामपाल को टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया स्पोर्ट्स अवार्ड्स (टीओआईएसए) समारोह में साल का श्रेष्ठ पुरुष एवं महिला हॉकी खिलाड़ी चुना गया। श्रीजेश और रानी को 2014 में लगातार अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने के लिए सम्मानित किया गया।

7. India is projected to achieve highest annual GDP growth rate of 7.9 percent over next 8 years, overtaking its South Asian economic rival China, according to a study by Center for International Development (CID) at Harvard University that said growth in emerging markets will continue to outpace developed countries.

भारत अगले 8 साल तक सालाना औसतन 7.9 प्रतिशत की उच्चतम आर्थिक वृद्धि दर दर्ज करते हुए इस मामले में चीन को पीछे छोड़ देगा। भारत के जीडीपी (सकल घरेलू उत्पाद) की वृद्धि दर दुनिया के प्रमुख देशों में सर्वाधिक रहेगी। यह बात हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय में सेंटर फार इंटरनेशनल डेवलपमेंट (सीआईडी) के एक अध्ययन में कही गयी है। अध्ययन के अनुसार उभरते बाजारों की आर्थिक वृद्धि विकसित देशों से उपर रहेगी।

8. Vinesh settled for silver in Women's Freestyle 48kg division after losing her final bout to Japan's Yuki Irie, while Narsingh Pancham Yadav bagged a bronze in Men's 74kg category in the Senior Asian Wrestling championship in Doha.

विनेश ने दोहा में चल रही सीनियर एशियाई कुश्ती चैंपियनशिप में महिलाओं के फ्रीस्टाइल के 48 किग्रा वर्ग के फाइनल में जापान की युकी इरी से हारने के बाद रजत पदक हासिल किया जबकि नरसिंह पंचम यादव ने पुरुषों के 74 किग्रा में कांस्य पदक जीता। 

9. Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal received a cash award of Rs. 25 lakh from the sports ministry for reaching the women's singles final of the All England Open Badminton Championships in March 2015. Saina became the third Indian and first woman from the country to reach the final of the prestigious tournament where she lost to reigning World Champion Carolina Marin at Birmingham.

मार्च 2015 में ऑल इंग्लैंड ओपन बैडमिंटन चैम्पियनशिप के महिला एकल वर्ग के फाइनल में पहुंचने वाली सायना नेहवाल को खेल मंत्रालय ने सम्मानित किया है। सायना इस प्रतिष्ठित टूर्नामेंट के फाइनल तक पहुंचने वाली तीयरी भारतीय और देश की पहली महिला खिलाड़ी बन गयी हैं। हालांकि सायना नेहवाल बर्मिंघम मे हुए इस फाइनल में विश्व चैंपियन कैरोलिना मारिन से पराजित हुईं बावजूद इसके वो फाइनल तक पहुंची इसलिए खेल मंत्रालय ने सायना को सम्मानित किया है।
